Verification by Registered Translator at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Our translators, indicated as registered at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, belong to the "Registry of Certified Translators", as it has been compiled with the Ministerial decision no. P23ΜΕΤ-34908/19.07.2021 issued by the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Government Gazette Β΄ 3149).
Certified translators officially translate, from a foreign language to Greek and vice versa, providing their services as freelancers/self-employed, providing translations for:
- public and private documents, whether provided by individuals or public agencies
- foreign public documents, as defined by the Hague Convention, as long as they bear the "APOSTILLE" of the Hague Convention, for countries that are parties to this Convention
- in any other case, foreign public documents either bearing a seal by the Consular Authority of Greece in the country that has issued the document, or bearing a seal by the Consular Authority of that country in Greece and additional validation seal by the competent department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The official translation of private documents is carried out ONLY when they are legally validated.
